Accreditation Programs
NCQA evaluates the quality of care and service of various types of health care organizations using rigorous and comprehensive standards. Based on this review, NCQA gives an accreditation rating and produces the reports listed below.
NCQA's Health Plan Report Card
- This tool equips consumers with information about the quality of health plans (including HMOs, POS and PPOs) based on their performance in five key areas and overall accreditation. Consumers can compare the ratings of various health plans and get detailed information on individual plans.
NCQA's Report Card for Managed Behavioral Healthcare Organizations (MBHOs)
- This tool lists all MBHOs currently in the accreditation process, along with detailed information on individual organizations. Employers and health plans can review accreditation information about MBHOs before making critical decisions and consumers can see whether their MBHOs is accredited.
NCQA's Status List for New Health Plans
- This is a list of NCQA-Accredited health plans that have been in operation for less than three years. Health plans included in the Health Plan Report Card above have been operating for more than three years.
Disease Management Accreditation & Certification Status List
- This is a list of (1) NCQA-Accredited organizations that offer comprehensive disease management programs with services to patients, practitioners, or both, (2) organizations that have achieved NCQA Certification for specific disease management functions, and (3) organizations that are scheduled to be reviewed by NCQA for DM Accreditation or Certification.
