What is NCQA Certification?

NCQA Certification programs are generally designed to help health plans and employers make informed decisions when choosing their business partners. Health plans and employers often delegate responsibility for certain functions to another organization that specializes in those areas. Achieving NCQA Certification is an indication that an organization has met rigorous standards related to one or more of those specific function such as credentialing or utilization management.
